As part of the SEASEEDS consortium - a scientific program led by Wageningen University & Research (WUR) and funded by NWO - Brandfriend contributes to the branding and narrative development of Nordseaweed: a Dutch seaweed initiative aligned with the European Green Deal and the ‘Farm to Fork Strategy’.

With the North Sea evolving into a multifunctional energy and food landscape, seaweed emerges as a powerful natural solution: absorbing CO₂, supporting the protein transition, and enabling circular innovation from food to bioplastics.
